This policy applies specifically to True Decibel for iOS, provided by Suzhou Zhiqiao Information Technology Co., Ltd. It describes this product’s data handling; other apps and platform editions have their own policies.
1. Microphone, recordings and location
True Decibel for iOS processes microphone input on your device to calculate sound levels. If recording is enabled, including through your selected monitoring settings, the app saves audio in its local app storage. Saved measurements may include statistics, audio, labels, notes and settings. Imported audio is analyzed locally.
If you enable location labeling and grant permission, the app uses reduced-accuracy location to attach a label or coordinates to a session. Camera and photo-picker access support photos you choose for sound-level watermarks. These session records and photos are not automatically uploaded to a developer server.
2. Reports and backups through Files
You can create reports and ZIP backups and choose where to save or share them through iOS Files and sharing controls. A backup can include measurement data and associated audio; reports may contain any labels, notes or location you included. If you choose iCloud Drive or another cloud file provider, that provider receives the selected file.
This file-based workflow does not connect the app to the Android edition’s Google Drive backup account or credentials. See the Apple Privacy Policy for Apple services.
3. Current service configuration and deletion
This iOS edition does not currently send analytics or crash reports to Firebase, show production ads or offer active paid App Store products. Your microphone recordings and measurements are not uploaded to those services.
The app’s clear-history controls can remove saved measurements and their audio files. They do not remove reports or archives you have already saved or shared through Files. Delete those copies with their destination or cloud provider. Uninstalling does not recall files already exported.
4. Your choices, security and privacy rights
You can manage device permissions in system settings and choose which optional connections or exports to use. A denied permission may make its related feature unavailable. Data sent to service providers may be processed outside your country. We use reasonable safeguards for information we control; no storage or transmission method can guarantee absolute security.
We do not sell your personal information. We disclose information as needed to provide the features above, follow your instructions, comply with law, protect rights or handle a business transfer with appropriate safeguards. Information we control is kept only for the purposes described here and applicable legal obligations. Provider-controlled records follow that provider’s retention and deletion processes.
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict or receive a copy of your personal information. Contact us for requests about data we control. We cannot directly remove files in your personal cloud account or copies held by a recipient.
5. Children and policy updates
This product is not directed to children under 13, or the minimum age required by local law. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact us so we can address it. We may update this policy as the product changes and will show the revised date on this page.
