This policy applies specifically to BeatFocus for Android, provided by Suzhou Zhiqiao Information Technology Co., Ltd. The Android application ID is com.metronome.beatfocus. It describes this product’s data handling; other apps and platform editions have their own policies.
1. Practice settings and history
BeatFocus stores metronome settings, presets, setlists, practice sessions, goals, achievements and reminder preferences on your device. It uses these records to restore your settings and show practice statistics. Metronome playback does not require sending a recording of your environment to us.
2. Recordings, covers and sharing
If you grant microphone permission and start recording, BeatFocus saves the audio in its local recording library. You can rename recordings, choose a cover image, play them, share them or delete them. A cover image selected through the system picker is copied into app storage for that recording.
Sharing recordings, practice CSV files or progress images sends the selected file to the destination you choose. Ringtone export writes a copy to device media storage; changing the system ringtone requires the system setting permission. Notifications support playback controls and optional practice reminders. Copies exported or sent to other apps are managed separately from the local library.
3. Diagnostics, advertising and purchases
Firebase Analytics processes app interactions and technical information to help us understand use of this product. Firebase Crashlytics processes crash reports, installation identifiers and app/device information to diagnose failures. See Firebase privacy information.
The ad-supported edition uses Google Mobile Ads and its configured mediation partners. Advertising services may process IP-derived general location, identifiers, interactions and diagnostics for ads, measurement and fraud prevention. Where applicable, the app provides Google consent and advertising privacy choices. Android’s advertising settings also let you manage the advertising identifier. Advertising choices do not by themselves delete app content or control every diagnostic service.
Google Play Billing handles purchases and subscriptions. The app processes purchase status and tokens to activate, verify or restore paid access. Google handles payment details; we do not receive raw payment-card details. See the Google Privacy Policy.
4. Keeping and deleting practice data
Practice settings, setlists and recordings are held in local app storage for the features you use. Delete saved items through the app’s available controls or clear the app’s storage to remove its local data. Removing a recording from the library does not recall a shared copy or remove a ringtone exported to device media storage. BeatFocus does not offer a Google Drive backup connection.
5. Your choices, security and privacy rights
You can manage device permissions in system settings and choose which optional connections or exports to use. A denied permission may make its related feature unavailable. Data sent to service providers may be processed outside your country. We use reasonable safeguards for information we control; no storage or transmission method can guarantee absolute security.
We do not sell your personal information. We disclose information as needed to provide the features above, follow your instructions, comply with law, protect rights or handle a business transfer with appropriate safeguards. Information we control is kept only for the purposes described here and applicable legal obligations. Provider-controlled records follow that provider’s retention and deletion processes.
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict or receive a copy of your personal information. Contact us for requests about data we control. We cannot directly remove files in your personal cloud account or copies held by a recipient.
6. Children and policy updates
This product is not directed to children under 13, or the minimum age required by local law. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact us so we can address it. We may update this policy as the product changes and will show the revised date on this page.
